Dear colleagues,<\/p>\n

The Sound and Music Computing group and Telecommunications and
\nMultimedia Unit at INESC Porto, and the Digital Arts Group at CITAR
\nare happy to announce 3 research openings (2 post-doc level, 1 senior
\nresearcher level) in the context of the research program “MAT – Media
\nArts and Technologies” (http:\/\/smc.inescporto.pt\/mat\/<\/a>), in Porto,
\nPortugal.
\nApplications are welcome starting immediately, with a final deadline
\non\u00a020th December 2013. The position will be filled *as soon as
\npossible*.<\/p>\n

(1) A post-doc research fellowship
\nTo work in the Sound and Music Computing group at INESC Porto on the
\ngeneral topic of “Interaction with Music Information”
\nDuration: 12 months, extensible until\u00a030th June 2015
\nSalary: 17.940\u20ac per year (this is the *net* amount, i.e. it is *not*
\nsubjected to tax nor deductions)

(2) A post-doc research fellowship
\nTo work in the Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit at INESC Porto
\non the general topic of “Social TV”
\nDuration: 12 months, extensible until\u00a030th June 2015
\nSalary: 17.940\u20ac per year \u00a0(this is the *net* amount, i.e. it is *not*
\nsubjected to tax nor deductions)

(3) A senior research contract
\nTo work at the Digital Arts Group at CITAR on the general topic of
\n“Interaction with Music Information”
\nDuration: 12 months, extensible until\u00a030th June 2015
\nSalary: 41.035\u20ac per year (this is the *gross* amount, i.e. it is
\nsubjected to legal taxes and deductions)
\nPosition enquiry: Luis Gustavo Martins (lmartins@porto.ucp.pt<\/a>)<\/p>\n

We are seeking applicants with a research and publication track record
\nin either:
\n– Human-Computer Interaction
\n– Music Information Retrieval
\n– Music Technology
\n– Recommender systems
\n– Emerging paradigms for TV services<\/p>\n

The successful applicants are expected to contribute to one or several
\nof the following research lines:
\n– Computational music description
\n– Interactive music systems and procedural music generation
\n– Natural user interfaces (NUI, TUI, NIME, …)
\n– Personalized content recommendation
\n– Personalized content creation\/management\/adaptation
\n– Social, Connected, Participatory and Interactive audiovisual services<\/p>\n

The successful applicants will integrate an international research
\nteam and will also have opportunity to collaborate on several funded
\nresearch projects, together with a number of international partners.<\/p>\n

All three positions are full-time, fixed-term, starting as soon as possible.

\nWorking language: English<\/p>\n
