The Web Intern will have the opportunity to contribute creatively to a constantly evolving, highly-visited humanitarian website while improving his\/her design, web and multimedia skills. An individual looking to put an Interactive Design degree to work for a good cause and to learn more about the web will be perfectly suited for this position.<\/p>\n<p><b>Duties:<\/b>\u00a0The Web Intern will be expected to perform the following tasks:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Post content to website regularly and assist with daily tasks<\/li>\n<li>Assist with content gathering and organization as we move to the Drupal CMS platform<\/li>\n<li>Design web layouts, graphics, banners, and e-mail templates<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and produce web metrics<\/li>\n<li>Participate in discussions regarding site development and growth<\/li>\n<li>Create and optimize content for MSF&#8217;s social media accounts<\/li>\n<li>Edit multimedia files, including slideshows, audio and video<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b>Required Skills:<\/b><\/div>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Expertise in Photoshop and other popular visual design tools<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of HTML<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of video editing programs<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to troubleshoot ones own work<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize tasks and manage own time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b>Preferred Skills:<\/b><\/div>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Comfortable working on both PC and Mac platforms<\/li>\n<li>Skills in InDesign and Illustrator<\/li>\n<li>Previous use and understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS), especially Drupal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Internship is part time (20 hours per week) and is paid at $10\/hr.
