Does telling stories across screens interest you? Do you have some coding experience and a respect for good design? Are you able to build rapid prototypes and share learnings across teams? NBC News is looking for a media hacker to work within the digital innovations and social media team.<\/p>\n

This role will be responsible for driving advancements within social news, by maximizing the utilization of tools such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc, to build audience and increase engagement. In addition, this role will be responsible for resolving technical issues associated with social applications, to ensure these platforms are operating to capacity.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities
\n\u2022 Monitor the effective operation of social apps and platforms and liaise with IT \/ Product teams to facilitate rectification works
\n\u2022 Brainstorm creative multimedia content to be social medium ready and upload \/ utilize as appropriate
\n\u2022 Support shows to self-manage social accounts
\n\u2022 Provide solutions and trouble shoot constant updates to emerging platforms
\n\u2022 Create internal case studies to share how changes in the ways we engage audiences impact their business goals of loyalty, return visits and etc.
\n\u2022 Provide feedback to partners on beta products
\n\u2022 Translate industry news in to relevant actionable items to test and learn from.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

-At least three years\u2019 experience in web and TV production.
\n-Understanding of social media platform API\u2019s (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
\n-Ability to build web prototypes using Javascript, HTML and CSS
\n-Working knowledge of Adobe Suite and Github
\n-Respect for editorial excellence
\n-Sense of humor and collaborative spirit<\/p>\n

Additional Skill Set Recommended:<\/p>\n

-Experience with video chat environments such as Google Hangouts and other video chat environments.
\n-DSLR and camera experience
