The event will be held at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adm.ntu.edu.sg\/AboutADM\/Pages\/ContactUs.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">SADM<\/a>, Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>The event aims to bring together researchers, artists, and scholars working with sound and interactivity in all ways creative.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/marcs.uws.edu.au\/people\/roger-dean\" target=\"_blank\">Roger Dean<\/a>\u00a0of MARCS, Sydney, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/imtr.ircam.fr\/imtr\/Diemo_Schwarz\" target=\"_blank\">Diemo Schwarz<\/a>\u00a0of IRCAM, Paris, are keynote speakers.<\/p>\n<p>==============<br \/>\nSubmissions as Papers, Artworks, or Others, can now be made using\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=si13\" target=\"_blank\">EasyChair<\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=si13\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.<wbr \/>easychair.org\/conferences\/?<wbr \/>conf=si13<\/a>), until\u00a01 October 2013.<\/p>\n<p>==============<br \/>\nTopics of interest include:<br \/>\n3D audio<br \/>\nacoustic ecology<br \/>\naesthetics of sound and interactivity<br \/>\nAI in music<br \/>\napp design<br \/>\naudio games<br \/>\naudiovisual installation<br \/>\naudiovisual performance<br \/>\ncomputer-assisted analysis<br \/>\ncomputer-assisted composition<br \/>\nfield recording<br \/>\ngame audio<br \/>\nhaptic interfaces<br \/>\ninteractive art involving sound<br \/>\nlive coding<br \/>\nmapping<br \/>\nmusic automata<br \/>\nmusic emotion<br \/>\nmusic information retrieval<br \/>\npsychoacoustics<br \/>\nrobot musicians<br \/>\nsound art<br \/>\nsoundscape design<br \/>\nsound design<br \/>\nsound in multimedia<br \/>\nsonofication<br \/>\nvisual music<br \/>\n\u2026<\/p>\n<p>==============<br \/>\nImportant dates<br \/>\n20 August: 1st call<br \/>\n1 October: deadline for abstract submissions<br \/>\n10 October: acceptance results<br \/>\n10 November: deadline for camera-ready papers (3-6 pages) for inclusion in proceedings<br \/>\n14 November: pre-Symposium concert (TBC)<br \/>\n15-16 November: Symposium<\/p>\n<p>==============<br \/>\nSubmissions<br \/>\nSubmissions can be made in either of three categories: Papers, Artworks, Other, using\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=si13\" target=\"_blank\">EasyChair<\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=si13\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.<wbr \/>easychair.org\/conferences\/?<wbr \/>conf=si13<\/a>), until\u00a01 October 2013. All submissions will be reviewed for scientific and artistic merit by a committee (double-blind, please blank out author names).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Paper submissions should be 400-500 words (\u2018extended abstract\u2019).<br \/>\n&#8211; Artwork submissions should be 200-300 words in writing and include a clear description of technical requirements. The text may include a weblink to an anonymous media source (e.g. jpeg, mp3, mov) with an excerpt of the artwork.<br \/>\n&#8211; Other submissions (e.g. soundwalks, piece+paper, software demo, workshop) should be 200-300 words in writing. To be considered, the scope and requirements must be clearly outlined in the abstract. The text may include a weblink to an anonymous media source (e.g. jpeg, mp3, mov) as appropriate to the submission.<\/p>\n<p>==============<br \/>\nAcceptance<br \/>\nAuthors of accepted Papers will be invited to present at the event either orally (25 minutes in plenum), as poster (5 minutes in plenum + poster). For either, we encourage preparation of full papers (3-6 pages, template TBC) for inclusion in the proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Authors of accepted Artworks will be invited to present live at a pre-Symposium concert on\u00a014 November\u00a0(TBC). Video projection, stage presentation, and multipoint diffusion are conceivable (but cannot be guaranteed).<\/p>\n<p>==============<br \/>\nRegistration<br \/>\nThe registration fee includes access to proceedings and concert (TBC), as well as lunch, tea, and Symposium Dinner.
