Towhee Co.\/ Modavend, a Fab Lab \/ X-Education start up, seeks an intern to support start-up efforts in our fledgling fabrication studio.<\/p>\n

Examples of tasks may include:<\/div>\n
– research and helping to form curriculum<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
– research and acquisition of equipment and\u00a0materials<\/div>\n
\n
– materials research<\/div>\n
– odd and sundry communications tasks (website\/Wordpress updates, email blast coordination)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
– some heavy lifting\/physical handling of heavy materials<\/div>\n
– equipment maintenance (3D printers, CNC gear, traditional)<\/div>\n
\n
– outreach event\u00a0support<\/div>\n
– coordination assistance for very small\u00a0events, classes, and charettes<\/div>\n
– file management and rendering\u00a0oversight<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Located in Jersey City (convenient to the West Village\/NYU area via PATH train).
