Web designer\/developer Project Lead to conceive and build new WordPress site for Tribeca-based,<\/p>\n
textile design and manufacturing company. We seek someone who can translate beautiful textiles and<\/p>\n
home furnishing images into a compelling web experience. It is essential for this individual to quickly<\/p>\n
conceive and build a WordPress site which accomplishes brand and business objectives.<\/p>\n
Project Information:<\/p>\n
Timing: immediate and goal is to deploy new WordPress site within 45-60 days<\/p>\n
Compensation: commensurate with experience and based on approved project proposal<\/p>\n
Design studio location: Tribeca<\/p>\n
Requirements for Project Lead:<\/p>\n
Design Requirements:<\/p>\n
Extensive Website design including responsive design<\/p>\n
Photoshop and InDesign<\/p>\n
Strong photography skills and creative sensibility given need to manage intern who will photograph and<\/p>\n
create image library for 1000+ SKUs across multiple product categories<\/p>\n
Luxury brand sensibility given nature of product and clientele<\/p>\n
Developer Requirements:<\/p>\n
Deep WordPress experience<\/p>\n
Creative Suite and HTML5; PHP \/ MySQL development; Javascript and jQuery development<\/p>\n
Experience with SEO (and particularly on page optimization)<\/p>\n
Experience developing responsive websites<\/p>\n
Experience with website performance testing and tuning, browser compatibility troubleshooting and an<\/p>\n
understanding of progressive enhancement and graceful degradation<\/p>\n
Working knowledge of HTML emails and associated coding requirements<\/p>\n
Personal Requirements for Project Lead:<\/p>\n
Detail-oriented and highly organized<\/p>\n
High degree of visual creativity and style<\/p>\n
Self-starter with ability to multi-task, function as a one-person team, identify issues and meet deadlines<\/p>\n
Team player with positive, can-do attitude who is calm under pressure<\/p>\n
Good communicator with others less knowledgeable in technology<\/p>\n
