Ultimately you will be responsible for creating and maintaining efficient, scalable and secure backend application infrastructure used by tens of millions of readers each month.<\/p>\n<p>About the New Yorker The New Yorker is a national weekly magazine that offers a signature mix of reporting and commentary on politics, foreign affairs, business, technology, popular culture, and the arts, along with humor, fiction, poetry, and cartoons. The New Yorker is at once a classic and at the leading edge.<\/p>\n<p>Required qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Expert in OO PHP<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong knowledge of MVC architecture<br \/>\n\u2022 Experienced in designing, writing queries for and optimizing SQL databases<br \/>\n\u2022 Working knowledge of any version control software<br \/>\nBonus qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Configuring and maintaining Linux based Apache servers<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience architecting web applications<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience working with caching layers such as Varnish, Memcache and CDNs<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience using tools like New Relic to optimize application performance<br \/>\n\u2022 Working knowledge of WordPress<br \/>\n\u2022 Solid understand of REST concepts and experience using REST APIs<br \/>\n\u2022 Advanced knowledge of Git<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to write usable documentation<br \/>\n\u2022 Familiarity or experience with continuous integration deploy processes<br \/>\n\u2022 Familiarity or experience with Amazon Web Services products (i.e. Beanstalk instances) and its APIs<br \/>\nAbout Cond\u00e9 Nast Cond\u00e9 Nast is renowned for provocative, influential, award winning content-across brands, across platforms, and across continents.
