This is a full-time, nine month tenure<br \/>\ntrack position beginning August 2014 reporting to the Dean of the Knight School of<br \/>\nCommunication.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience Required: Ideal candidates will cross media platforms and demonstrate<br \/>\nknowledge of, research\/creative interest, and teaching proficiency in interactive media and data<br \/>\nvisualization, mobile and web-based application development, and digital video production. The<br \/>\nSchool\u2019s undergraduate degree in Journalism and Digital Media includes courses in journalism,<br \/>\ndigital media production, and media studies and criticism, with a focus on community engagement,<br \/>\ndigital literacy, and new media innovation. We are looking for applicants skilled in cross-platform<br \/>\nstorytelling and information analysis, and committed to using digital technologies to civically<br \/>\nengaged ends.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must possess a high degree of technical competency to participate in partnerships with<br \/>\njournalism, media industries, technology startups, and civic agencies. MFA or PHD required.<br \/>\nPreference will go to candidates with an active exhibition history and significant practical<br \/>\nexperience in an active production environment. Candidates with the MS only will be considered<br \/>\nfor a non-tenure track appointment.
