{"id":14687,"date":"2013-11-22T12:44:44","date_gmt":"2013-11-22T16:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/?p=14687"},"modified":"2013-11-22T12:44:44","modified_gmt":"2013-11-22T16:44:44","slug":"gig-website-design-for-mongolian-dinosaur-fossil-preservationists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/2013\/11\/22\/gig-website-design-for-mongolian-dinosaur-fossil-preservationists\/","title":{"rendered":"[GIG] Website Design for Mongolian Dinosaur Fossil Preservationists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have been working with a Mongolian colleague, paleontologist Dr. Bolortsetseg (Bolor) Minjin\u00a0in educating Mongolia artists about making dinosaurs\u00a0and informing their museums about education programs.\u00a0 Seems the Mongolians know nothing about fabricating dinosaurs or how to do education programs.\u00a0 So this summer I went for two weeks to oversee this program as well as give 3 talks on Museum education. Anyway, to make things short, Bolor was the person responsible for the smuggling of dinosaurs out of Mongolia\u00a0and was able to stop the auctioning of a dino the\u00a0size of a T-Rex by this Florida man and\u00a0UK person who stole dinos from all over the world.\u00a0 But, also, she has been doing education programs with children in Mongolia and has a website. Her organization name is Institute for the Study of Mongolian Dinosaurs, non-profit in Mongolia, but not in US yet ,but hoping to do this year.\u00a0 Her website was spammed or did not have enough &#8220;firewall&#8221; (?) to protect it and so she has taken it\u00a0down.
