Setting and Reporting: The Internship is in the Information Management Unit of the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations. It is for a period of two months with an opportunity for an extension, depending on the needs of the unit and availability of the candidate. The internship is unpaid and full-time. Interns work five days a week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Responsibilities <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\">The intern will assist one of the United Nations peacekeeping information management programmes. Examples of duties to be performed include the following: <\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\uf0a7 Develop video and interactive training support materials including research of relevant tools and video production methodologies for remote delivery in low-bandwidth field mission environments; <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\uf0a7 Post web content and support website content management; <\/span><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\uf0a7 Support the maintenance of content databases and electronic resources; <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\uf0a7 Create metadata for digital collections; and, <\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\uf0a7 Support the activities of the Information Management Unit, as needed. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Capability and skills to produce multimedia and video content using Abode Premiere, Adobe Connect, Captiva, Final Cut Pro, Udutu, Webex, Director, Flash, JavaScript or Fireworks, and familiarity with web publishing and information architecture are desirable. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;
