In addition to youth-facing work, OLP works to build capacity of other youth-serving educators<br \/>\nand institutions, and contribute to the field of digital media and learning through speaking engagements and<br \/>\nspecial trainings.<\/p>\n<p>Global Kids is seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual for its Online Leadership Program to run youth<br \/>\nprograms using digital media. The Online Leadership Program Associate will work collaboratively with other<br \/>\nOnline Leadership Program staff as well as other Global Kids staff in order to:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Coordinate, develop and facilitate interactive, experiential workshops using digital media for afterschool<br \/>\nprograms for middle and high school youth<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct professional development trainings for educators<br \/>\n\u2022 Collaboratively brainstorm ideas for new digital media projects that embrace global learning with a team<br \/>\n\u2022 Write curricula and lesson plans that incorporate digital media and global issues<br \/>\n\u2022 Stay up to date on digital media and learning news and research<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate and manage multiple projects, both independently and on a team<br \/>\n\u2022 Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders, institutions, and other collaborative partners<br \/>\n\u2022 Work collaboratively in middle and high school environments to deliver both in-school and afterschool<br \/>\nprograms.<br \/>\n\u2022 Contribute writing and ideas to grant proposals and reports<br \/>\n\u2022 Represent GK through blog posts, speaking engagements, and other outreach<br \/>\n\u2022 Perform other duties as assigned<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Master\u2019s degree or commensurate work experience preferred<br \/>\n\u2022 Minimum 2-3 years of related work experience required<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience using interactive experiential learning strategies and youth development or leadership<br \/>\nstrategies in culturally diverse settings with youth.<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience teaching digital media skills and tools to youth and educators (i.e. games-based learning,<br \/>\naudio\/video production, mobile applications, social media, web design, etc.)<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience with curriculum development and games-based learning<br \/>\n\u2022 Familiarity with game design platforms such as Scratch, Game Salad, Gamestar Mechanic, etc.<br \/>\n<span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">\u2022 Strong project management skills<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">\u2022 Short learning curve around new digital tools and applications<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">\u2022 Strong interest in global issues, social activism, and youth empowerment<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">\u2022 Game design experience a plus<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">\u2022 Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to prioritize tasks<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">\u2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">\u2022 Comfortable networking and maintaining relationships with funders and partners<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-style: normal;\">\u2022 Experience working in schools with middle school youth a plus\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nTo Apply:<\/p>\n<p>Please send your resume and cover letter as a PDF to resumes@globalkids.org.
