Our cutting edge use of technology allows students to create projects that are\u00a0meaningful to them, from building and programming robots to designing video games and claymations.<\/p>\n<p>VEM is seeking a Program Manager and Office Coordinator to join our growing team. The successful candidate\u00a0will have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in managing programs, with outstanding organizational and\u00a0communication capabilities. In addition to managing programs this position also contains back office support\u00a0responsibilities. This person will have an opportunity to impact the overall growth strategy of RoboFun, and\u00a0must have an entrepreneurial spirit. This is a full time position. The Program Manager reports to Director of\u00a0Program Operations. The company is based on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Develop, follow up and close sales of programs in public and independent schools in the New York City area.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Seek out new clients, follow up politely and persistently to grow our fee based business.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Travel throughout the New York City area to meet with current clients and pitch our programs to new\u00a0schools. Travel is about 20% of the position. A car is helpful but not necessary.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Maintain all communication with clients for all ongoing fee based programs from the point of sale to the\u00a0conclusion of the club.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Create flyers and attend meetings with school personnel to assist schools in recruitment for our programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Prepare materials needed for each club. Prior to club\u2019s first session, drop off materials; at the conclusion of\u00a0each club, pick up materials and return them to the office.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Install software needed to run each club.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Report regularly to the Company President, Directors of Program Operations and Business Operations as to\u00a0the status of your projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Participate in functions such as school fairs, science fairs, and information nights at each school. Meet\u00a0students, parents, teachers and staff in support of the school and our programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Work closely with the Director of Business Operations to deliver, track and invoice all services related to\u00a0each fee-based project.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Learn the basics of our curriculums.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Be a highly informed advocate of all RoboFun\u2019s programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Office Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Perform clerical duties 10 &#8211; 15 hours a week including but not limited to: answering phones, filing, preparing\u00a0lesson materials, managing equipment inventory, meeting and greeting RoboFun customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Assisting teaching<\/p>\n<p>REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 BA Degree.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 -3 years experience working in a small business or education environment: this could be in a full time sales\u00a0or teaching or supplemental education position.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Passion for teaching and learning.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Excellent in influencing diverse stakeholders \u2013 with tact and tenacity.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Outstanding track record in quality and customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Outstanding written and oral communications skills, highly responsive, timely and accurate in providing\u00a0internal and external clients pertinent information.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Strong business acumen; ability to understand business requirements of a customer-focused organization,\u00a0focused on pragmatic solutions within the context of a school environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Outstanding project, planning and time management skills, including prioritization and multi-tasking in a fast- paced organization and a complex client organization.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Excellent influencing, cooperation and negotiation skills and the ability to use those capabilities appropriately\u00a0with clients and staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Outstanding track record of success in balancing competing priorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Technology savvy and excellent in Microsoft Office.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Highly professional with a positive attitude and an entrepreneurial ethos.<\/p>\n<p>There are many great benefits to a career at RoboFun.
