Position Description The User Experience Design team is responsible for designing Fidelity Investments’ award-winning\u00a0websites, mobile applications and internal workstations. Our 100+ person team of elite user experience\u00a0professionals works collaboratively with the business and technology teams to design and deliver online\u00a0experiences that enable our customers’ financial success. We have Summer internship roles available in\u00a0Jersey City, NJ.<\/p>\n
Primary Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\u2022 We are currently looking for summer interns interested in user experience to join our fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture. The 10-week program is a hands-on learning experience with\u00a0opportunities to work on a team design project and gain exposure to the day-to-day business of\u00a0the User Experience Design group.<\/p>\n
\u2022 There will be weekly training sessions focused on the roles and skills within User Experience Design. All Fidelity interns across the organization participate in Summer Series events designed\u00a0to showcase Fidelity’s various businesses and hear from Fidelity Executives.<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\u2022 Graduate students in a related field, such as Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design,\u00a0Graphic Design, Library Science, Human Factors or similar Skills and Knowledge<\/p>\n
\u2022 Creativity, imagination and a sense of humor<\/p>\n
\u2022 Strong work ethic and collaborative spirit are a must \u2022 Passionate and knowledgeable about interaction design and user research<\/p>\n
\u2022 Detail-oriented and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet\u00a0deadlines<\/p>\n
\u2022 Ability to understand customer needs, motivations and behaviors<\/p>\n
\u2022 Hands-on design skills in wireframes, persona development and visual design, a plus<\/p>\n
\u2022 Skills in Fireworks, Photoshop and Illustrator image creation, a plus<\/p>\n
\u2022 Rapid prototyping using tools such as Axure, iRise or Balsamiq, a plus<\/p>\n
\u2022 Understanding of HTML and CSS with the basics in HTML5<\/p>\n
\u2022 Online Portfolio required<\/p>\n
Program Dates and Hours \u2022 10-week program beginning on Monday, June 2nd , and ending on Friday, August 8th. Full-time,\u00a040-hour work week<\/p>\n
