Senior Lecturer\/Lecturer: History and Theory of Art and Design<\/b><\/p>\n

The Faculty seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer who will be responsible primarily for teaching and co-ordinating the cross-disciplinary, undergraduate theory course in the Faculty, while contributing actively to the Faculty\u2019s research output, and undertaking supervision of postgraduate students. Candidates with a proven research record and expertise in teaching related to visual culture and theory, broadly defined, are invited to apply.<\/p><\/div>\n

The incumbent will be expected to:\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/b>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Teach and assess history and theory of design at undergraduate level.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Contribute actively to research in his\/her specialist field related to art and\/or design history and theory.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Publish research using appropriate channels, including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Coordinate and develop curriculum material for the relevant modules across the Faculty.

Minimum Requirements…<\/h2>\n
A\u00a0Master\u2019s degree<\/b>\u00a0in a relevant discipline (e.g. Art History, Design History, Cultural Studies, Visual Art) is required at\u00a0both levels.<\/b>\u00a0 To be considered for\u00a0Senior Lecturer<\/b>, a doctoral qualification or\u00a0substantial progress<\/b>\u00a0towards the completion of such a qualification is necessary.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0An in-depth and current knowledge of art and design history and theory.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Experience as a researcher with evidence of published output in peer-reviewed journals and\/or collaborations in peer-reviewed, funded projects.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A record of collegiality, collaboration and a comprehensive understanding of research methodologies.
