2014<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>About ICAD Workshops and Tutorial Sessions:<\/div>\n<div>ICAD workshops and tutorials provide in-depth opportunities for conference attendees to discuss and explore important aspects of the field of auditory display with like-minded researchers and practitioners.\u00a0 Sessions can range from applications and programming methodologies to interdisciplinary research skills, emerging research areas, and challenge problems.\u00a0 Workshop and tutorials topics include but are not limited to:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Auditory displays in assistive technologies<\/li>\n<li>Auditory graphs<\/li>\n<li>Interactive and model-based sonification<\/li>\n<li>Auditory data mining<\/li>\n<li>Combining speech and sound in user interfaces<\/li>\n<li>Recycling auditory displays<\/li>\n<li>Sonic interaction with artifacts<\/li>\n<li>Sonification tools and techniques<\/li>\n<li>Applied use of head-related transfer functions for 3D audio<\/li>\n<li>Auditory display organization and design principles<\/li>\n<li>Research methods for evaluating auditory displays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Proposal Details:<\/div>\n<div>Proposals should be about one page in length and should include the following:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Title, brief abstract, outline of objectives (e.g., tutorial syllabus, organized discussion, presentations, submissions, etc.), relevance for ICAD attendees<\/li>\n<li>Proposed duration (full day or half day)<\/li>\n<li>Invited speakers (if any)<\/li>\n<li>List of organizers, a designated contact person, and contact information for all organizers (address, email, and phone)<\/li>\n<li>Technical requirements and space requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Workshop and tutorial proposals should be submitted via email to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:icad2014_workshops@icad.org\" target=\"_blank\">icad2014_workshops@icad.org<\/a><wbr \/>\u00a0by\u00a021 February 2014.\u00a0 Proposal acceptance decisions will be notified by\u00a021 March 2014.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Workshop and tutorial organizers will be expected to work with the conference committee, issue calls for participation, gather and review submissions (if appropriate) and decide upon the final program for their session.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Venue:<\/div>\n<div>ICAD 2014 will take place at New York University&#8217;s (NYU)\u00a0<a
