Our partners are community-based organizations, multilateral\u00a0institutions, startups, foundations, and socially-conscious companies. Our tools are design production\u00a0work, strategic advising, and campaign development.\u00a0With your help, we\u2019ll also have a series of written assets that spread our thinking and share what we\u2019re<br \/>\nlearning.<\/p>\n<h3>Help Us \u201cWrite the Book\u201d on Community-Centered Design<\/h3>\n<p>We&#8217;re looking for an intern to help us research and articulate our vision of community-centered design as\u00a0a means of defining and addressing social challenges. This work will likely include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducting a lit review (academic and professional)<\/li>\n<li>Researching case studies<\/li>\n<li>Summarizing and synthesizing research<\/li>\n<li>Coauthoring blog posts, white papers, and other public-facing media<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Depending on your strengths and interests, this internship could also be an opportunity to assist on client\u00a0projects and business development efforts.<\/p>\n<h3>About You<\/h3>\n<p>This is a substantive position, and you\u2019re someone with some serious chops for research and synthesis,\u00a0and an abiding interest in design thinking for the public good.<br \/>\nIf you are\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfortable formulating your own agenda based on high-level objectives<\/li>\n<li>Intensely curious, with the drive to sustain that curiosity<\/li>\n<li>Okay with regularly sharing work in progress<\/li>\n<li>Interested in working with a small, distributed team<\/li>\n<li>An amateur anthropologist, psychologist, or designer<\/li>\n<li>Interested in building new models for Design (yes, that\u2019s big \u201cD\u201d design)<\/li>\n<li>Convinced that a \u201cLike\u201d shouldn\u2019t be the last word on engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2026 then we\u2019d love to hear from you. We imagine that this internship is best-suited to grad students with\u00a0some experience in the design space, but we are most interested in finding the right fit; all are\u00a0encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p>We are flexible about the number of hours worked, and we imagine that work will be a mix of<br \/>\nindependent and on-site coworking time.
