You will learn from a team of expert data scientists and versatile engineers that are building futuristic\u00a0products and researching groundbreaking concepts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Impact:<\/p>\n<p>At Target\u2019s Technology Innovation Center, you\u2019ll be given the opportunity to have influence on new commerce\u00a0technologies that rely on data science, distributed computing, and big data and provide solutions to business\u00a0problems using data analysis, data mining and machine learning techniques and statistics. The intern will\u00a0research, test and build innovative new products utilizing emerging technologies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Open to both graduate and undergraduate level students<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Currently enrolled in Computer Science\/Computer Engineering\/Electrical\u00a0Engineering\/Statistics\/Mathematics\/Physics\/Computational Neuroscience program (or related technical\u00a0discipline) and graduates on or before summer of 2015<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Experience hands-on programming with Java or Python; clojure a plus<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Experience with statistical and machine learning algorithms<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Experience working with databases (SQL, MongoDB)<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Experience with Open Source frameworks<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Team oriented thinking<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Ability to thrive in a quick paced, creative and experimental environment<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Familiar with source control systems (SVN, git) a plus<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Hadoop\/Mahout experience a plus<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>About Target Technology Innovation Center:<\/p>\n<p>The mission of the office is to research and create futuristic products with emerging technologies. We work\u00a0with cool technologies that are only available to elite teams. It is located in the South of Market area in San\u00a0Francisco.
