Job Summary:<\/p>\n
Information Architects at SapientNitro are responsible for the navigation, organization, interaction design, and business\/user process engineering for leading-edge Web solutions, software, and mobile devices\/applications. You will apply\u00a0user-centered design methods to translate user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities into world-class\u00a0user experiences for leading companies. Primary Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Assess existing sites\/properties for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding (with guidance and\u00a0oversight).<\/p>\n
\u2022 Lead participatory design\/user testing sessions (with oversight and direction).<\/p>\n
\u2022 Identify and document meaningful patterns from the findings; provide recommendations to the client\/internal\u00a0team based on findings.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Utilize low-fidelity, medium-fidelity, and high-fidelity prototypes across the different stages of the design.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Prepare, conduct, and analyze behavioral in-context research events (with guidance and oversight).<\/p>\n
\u2022 Analyze, synthesize, and organize research data into meaningful themes, categories, and visually compelling\u00a0frameworks and behavioral models.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Identify opportunities to create business value and improve the user experience, based on user research;\u00a0organize opportunities into visually compelling matrices or maps.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Execute participatory requirements gathering sessions and participate in debrief sessions (with guidance and\u00a0oversight); create feature lists from sessions.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Develop personas\/segmentations based on research findings (with guidance and oversight).<\/p>\n
\u2022 Create engaging scenarios and develop frameworks describing key aspects of a proposed experience, and how it\u00a0reconciles business and user needs.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Create visually compelling representations of the solution’s high-level interaction, navigation, and organization\u00a0design (i.e., concept models).<\/p>\n
\u2022 Develop visual representations of the organizational structure, hierarchy, and relationships of screens in a site\u00a0(i.e., site maps) as well as the interactions between the user and the functional modules in the solution (with\u00a0guidance and oversight).<\/p>\n
\u2022 Develop screen details (i.e., wireframes) depicting all elements on a unique screen type, including the content,\u00a0functional, and navigation specifications (with guidance and oversight).<\/p>\n
Experience Guidelines:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Less than 1 year of work experience excluding internship experience<\/p>\n
\u2022 Internship experience in a consulting firm or agency a plus<\/p>\n
\u2022 Candidates must be versed in user-centered design methods and techniques.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Proficient to expert in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, Microsoft Office.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Excellent verbal and written skills.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Prior experience in UI design for mobile devices a plus.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Authorized to work in the US.<\/p>\n
Education:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Bachelor’s degree preferred in design-related discipline: Interaction, Information or Interface design; Human-Computer Interaction; Design Planning; Graphic Design; Communications or equivalent military experience<\/p>\n
Training:<\/p>\n
