Our students use cutting edge technology to make projects that are personally meaningful to them.\u00a0They build and program LEGO\u00ae robots, solder DIY electronic projects, create and code video games, shoot\u00a0stop motion animations, and design web pages.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking a Program Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have\u00a0a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in managing programs, with outstanding organizational and\u00a0communication capabilities. This position also contains back office support responsibilities. We are\u00a0looking for an entrepreneurial individual who would enjoy working in a small company as a team player.\u00a0This individual will impact the overall growth strategy of RoboFun. This is a full time position. The\u00a0Program Manager reports to Director of Program Operations. The company is based on the Upper West\u00a0Side of Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>Program Management<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Develop, follow up and close sales of programs in public and independent schools in the NYC area.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Seek out new clients, follow up politely and persistently to grow our fee based business. Travel\u00a0throughout the New York City and Northern New Jersey area to meet with current clients and\u00a0pitch our programs to new schools. Travel is about 25% of the position. A car is helpful but not\u00a0necessary. A valid driver&#8217;s license is a must.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Maintain all communication with clients for ongoing fee based programs from the point of sale to\u00a0the conclusion of the club. Create flyers and attend meetings assist schools in recruitment for our\u00a0programs. Participate in functions such as school fairs, science fairs, and information nights at each\u00a0school.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Prepare materials needed for each club. Prior to club&#8217;s first session, drop off materials; at the\u00a0conclusion of each club, pick up materials. Install software needed to run each club.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Report regularly to the Company President, Program Director and Finance Manager as to the\u00a0status of your projects. Work closely with the Finance Manager to insure delivery, tracking and\u00a0invoicing of all services related to each fee-based project.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Learn the basics of our curriculums.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Be a highly informed advocate of all RoboFun&#8217;s programs.<\/p>\n<p>Teacher Management<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Keep up with the administrative tasks necessary to keep 30-40 after school clubs up and running.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Conduct site visits to observe and evaluate RoboFun teachers. Support teachers as needed, which\u00a0will include organizing and running professional development meetings.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Secure substitute teachers or sub for a given club if the regular teacher<\/p>\n<p>REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 BA Degree.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 -3 years experience working in a small business or education related field.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Passion for teaching and learning. Excellent classroom management and teaching skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Excellent in influencing diverse stakeholders \u2013 with tact and tenacity. Outstanding track record in\u00a0quality and customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Outstanding written and oral communications skills, highly responsive, timely and accurate in providing\u00a0internal and external clients pertinent information.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Strong business acumen; ability to understand business requirements of a customer-focused\u00a0organization, focused on pragmatic solutions within the context of a school environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Outstanding project, planning and time management skills, including prioritization and multi-tasking in\u00a0a fast-paced organization and a complex client organization.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Excellent influencing, cooperation and negotiation skills and the ability to use those capabilities\u00a0appropriately with clients and staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Technology savvy and excellent in Microsoft Office.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Highly professional with a positive attitude and an entrepreneurial ethos.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Drop off and pick up of materials requires repetitive lifting of boxes. This involves packing\u00a0materials, unpacking them and at times carrying them up flights of stairs. You may be lifting up to\u00a025 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>A career at RoboFun has great benefits!
