1.INTRODUCTION<\/p>\n
Lago Studio is Lago\u2019s creative soul. It is a workshop open to young talented people for<\/p>\n
developing new forms of expression and innovative projects in communication, products,<\/p>\n
furnishings and interior design.<\/p>\n
Every year LagoStudio organizes various thematic<\/p>\n
workshops where young creative designers are invited to attend from all over the world.<\/p>\n
In our 2 week workshops we address our creative energy to develop new concepts for the new Lago<\/p>\n
collection.<\/p>\n
Participating to a Lago Studio workshop will allow you to join a community that collaborates 365<\/p>\n
days a year.<\/p>\n
2.OBJECT<\/p>\n
The object of this call is to select 10 young talented people that are invited to have a<\/p>\n
unique formative experience: a 10 day workshop at the Lago company where the<\/p>\n
designers will work closely with the Company\u2019s Creative Director and Technical Office.<\/p>\n
After a specific briefing the workshop participants will develop design proposals for new<\/p>\n
products in compliance with Lago\u2019s mood and philosophy.<\/p>\n
Following the results of the workshop the company reserves the right to develop projects that are<\/p>\n
considered particularly interesting and should the projects eventually be produced<\/p>\n
the company will give a financial award to the project\u2019s designer.<\/p>\n
Products designed during Lago Studio workshop and already developed by Lago are visible on<\/p>\n
www.lago.it\/lagostudio<\/a>.<\/p>\n 3.PARTICIPATION, REGISTRATION AND SUBMITTING APPLICATION<\/p>\n Participation is open to students and young professionals. Applying for the LagoStudio 2014 is<\/p>\n completely free.<\/p>\n You can register on our website\u00a0www.lago.it\/lagostudio<\/a>\u00a0by filling in the online form and by sending<\/p>\n your CV and portfolio projects in digital format (PDF, horizontal or vertical A4 format). The file<\/p>\n must not exceed 6MB.<\/p>\n 4.MATERIAL REQUESTED<\/p>\n The form and relevant documentation may be submitted in either English or Italian.<\/p>\n Applications in other languages will not be taken into consideration.<\/p>\n The documentation required for the application is the following::<\/p>\n l Curriculum Vitae (2 A4 pages max)<\/p>\n l Portfolio projects, developed both at school and professionally<\/p>\n l In an appendix to the portfolio the applicant must declare that they are the authors<\/p>\n of the intellectual property of the projects they are submitting and that they shall<\/p>\n assume full responsibility should they make any false statements.<\/p>\n l Group projects are not admissible. All projects being submitted must be entirely<\/p>\n created by the author.<\/p>\n l Material that does not comply with the above-mentioned format and documentation<\/p>\n requirements will not be taken into consideration.<\/p>\n 5.THE WORKSHOP<\/p>\n The first LAGOSTUDIO workshop will take place from the 30th of June to the 11th of July,<\/p>\n the second workshop will take place from the 21st of July to the 1st of August at the Lago SpA<\/p>\n company in Villa del Conte (PD).The students will be working closely with the Creative Director<\/p>\n and Technical Office and will be briefed at the opening session.<\/p>\n All the workshop expenses including the 10 selected designer\u2019s meals and accommodation will be<\/p>\n paid for by Lago SpA.<\/p>\n The designers will only be responsible for the travel expenses to and from the Padova workshop.<\/p>\n 6.JURY<\/p>\n The 10 workshop participants will be selected by a jury made up of personalities from the<\/p>\n world of design. It will be chaired by Daniele Lago, the Creative Director at Lago SpA.<\/p>\n The jury will assess the candidate\u2019s portfolios focusing on aspects such as product innovation,<\/p>\n compatibility with the Lago style and the proposal\u2019s maturity.<\/p>\n The jury\u2019s decision is final and cannot be appealed. A merit list will be produced and the first 10<\/p>\n classified will be immediately contacted by Lago SpA for admission to the workshop. Should there<\/p>\n be a cancellation amongst the chosen candidates we will proceed in contacting the candidates that<\/p>\n are next in line.<\/p>\n The official list of those participating in the workshop will be published once all ten designers have<\/p>\n confirmed their participation.<\/p>\n 7.CALENDAR<\/p>\n \u2022 18 May 2014 \u2013 Application receipt deadline (H 24:00 Italian time) for the 1st workshop.<\/p>\n \u2022 25 May 2014 \u2013 Application receipt deadline (H 24:00 Italian time) for the 2nd workshop.<\/p>\n \u2022 06 June \u2013 Publication on line<\/p>\n \u2022 30 June to 11 July \u2013 First workshop at Lago in Villa del Conte (PD)<\/p>\n \u2022 21 July to 01 August \u2013 Second workshop at Lago in Villa del Conte (PD)<\/p>\n 8.PRIVACY, COPYRIGHT AND ROYALTIES CLAUSE<\/p>\n The rights to publish the material developed during the workshop will belong to Lago SpA<\/p>\n for 24 months starting from the date in which the workshop ends.<\/p>\n Lago SpA also reserves the right to select one or more projects developed within the<\/p>\n workshop and to develop them with the aim of possibly producing them and placing them<\/p>\n on the market.<\/p>\n Authors whose projects are produced and placed on the market will receive<\/p>\n a financial prize, based on a contract signed prior to the start of the workshop.<\/p>\n 9.POSTING OF THIS NOTICE<\/p>\n This notice is posted on the\u00a0www.lago.it\/lagostudio<\/a>\u00a0website.<\/p>\n 10.INFO<\/a><\/p>\n All information regarding this notice, the workshop and the Lago company are available to<\/p>\n designers on the\u00a0www.lago.it<\/a>\u00a0website.<\/p>\n
