Electronic Prototype Developer<\/p>\n
Come build cool, entertaining and educational programs & activities that will be featured in museums,\u00a0public spaces, corporate headquarters, and on the web.<\/p>\n
You will be sourcing electronic sensors and outputs such as LEDs and configuring them to work with\u00a0computers. You must have knowledge of computer hardware and accessories. You must have creative\u00a0problem-solving skills, and the ability to execute solutions. Soldering and wiring skills needed as well as\u00a0understanding of computer ports and protocols. Programming skills to create the software to interface\u00a0with devices. The ability to research new devices and design systems to use them effectively. Will also\u00a0include specifying hardware lists for clients.<\/p>\n

This is a full-time position at our office in the Flatiron district.<\/p>\n
* Deep knowledge of computers, computer interfaces and accessories<\/p>\n
* Comfort with wiring and basic soldering<\/p>\n
* Programming skills<\/p>\n
* Ability to research, source and specify hardware systems<\/p>\n
* Ability to work in teams<\/p>\n

Additional desired skills:<\/p>\n
* ActionScript coding experience<\/p>\n
* Gesture interface, CCV and multi-touch experience<\/p>\n
* Some database experience<\/p>\n
* Other interactive languages a plus (Processing or others)<\/p>\n
