As a member of Seed Scientific\u2019s design team, you will be joining an interdisciplinary group of scientists, mathematicians, \u00a0designers, and engineers that work with commercial, public and social sector clients to help them solve \u00a0their most challenging problems and get the most out of their data.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>You will apply your creativity and technical skills to design, build and deploy custom, data\u00addriven tools that \u00a0help solve complex human\u00adscale problems. Recent work has included developing relational algorithms that are performant in a browser, visualizing large amounts of data to surface new insights, designing state\u00adof\u00adthe\u00adart network visualizations, enabling real\u00adtime analysis of complex phenomena, and the Visualizing.org community<\/div>\n<div>platform. You will have the opportunity to contribute and have an impact at all stages of a project, from concept to code.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We are looking for talented and passionate design technologists who love hard challenges and want to apply \u2013 at least a portion of \u2013 their expertise to making a difference on social and humanitarian issues. At Seed you will join a group of peers dedicated to testing the limits of how data can improve decision making for organizations around the world.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Requirements<\/div>\n<div>You have a degree in Design or Computer Science, or at least four years of applicable experience<\/div>\n<div>You have a solid design and data visualization portfolio<\/div>\n<div>You have a passion for data visualization and are on top of current thinking and trends<\/div>\n<div>You are curious, love learning new technologies and testing new ideas<\/div>\n<div>Experience working in and designing for multiple browsers<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Technical skills we look for:<\/div>\n<div>Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite (a must)<\/div>\n<div>HTML5 \/ CSS3 (a must)<\/div>\n<div>JavaScript<\/div>\n<div>jQuery<\/div>\n<div>d3.js, Raphael<\/div>\n<div>PHP or Python<\/div>\n<div>Working with APIs<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>About Seed Scientific<\/div>\n<div>Seed solves big problems with big data.
