*Seeking Industrial Engineer\/Grad Student with 3D CAD and\/or Prototyping
\nCapabilities *<\/p>\n

*Deliverable(s): *Two 3D-CAD models or actual working 3D Models to perform
\nfor presentations.<\/p>\n

See below for model description(s):<\/p>\n

1) *\u201cSmart Shower Meter\u201d *which tracks data in real time and displays on a
\nLCD screen; powered by flow of water; will eventually encompass Internet of
\nThings, so we can show this aesthetically on the model<\/p>\n

2) *\u201cShower Pedal\u201d *which is a pedal that stops the flow of the showerhead
\nwhile water remains on; design will incorporate both \u201cflow-stopper\u201d
\nmechanism and safe, aesthetic pedal design<\/p>\n

*Timeline: *AS SOON AS POSSIBLE \u2013 hoping to perform weeks of iterations
\nbefore SXSW Eco, October 4-6.<\/p>\n

*If this can be done in the next 4-6 weeks that would be ideal. *<\/p>\n

*Description: *Work with founder (Steve Kohn) to design and develop inner
\nmechanism for above two deliverables. This will include the following for
\nboth deliverables:<\/p>\n

\uf0b7 brainstorming and troubleshooting inner mechanisms<\/p>\n

\uf0b7 aesthetically pleasing, modern design<\/p>\n

\uf0b7 aspects of customer interface (safety, feasibility, etc.)<\/p>\n

\uf0b7 experimenting and getting creative within a startup budget<\/p>\n

These designs will not be retail quality; rather these will perform for
\ncustomer feedback, pre-sales and presentations. Accordingly, models should
\nbe designed with these goals in mind and engineer may be asked for
\nconsult\/help developing shower mechanism to showcase WiseWater tools
\npublicly. An initial discussion will help us to develop a final task list
\nwhich we can use for compensation and timeline planning.<\/p>\n

****MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND ACCESS TO 3D MODELING and\/or 3D PRINTING
\nTECHNOLOGY *<\/p>\n

*Compensation: *Payment will be negotiated at project or hourly basis
\nbetween founder and prototyper. Founder will also pay for all reasonable
\nexpenses incurred (if any) for physical prototypes as well.<\/p>\n

*Candidate: *The person hired will exhibit experience with industrial
\ndesign, 3-d modeling\/printing and be willing to create the vision of these
\nprototypes while providing engineering insight throughout the design and
\ncreation process. Someone who is open-minded and enjoys collaborating, as
\nwell as someone who can produce in a timely manner. I can ensure a very
\npleasant experience, but I will be adamant about the deadlines we discuss.
\nThis is mostly because of the summer deadline I am on myself. Someone who
\nappreciates sustainability and resource management is a plus but not a
\nrequirement.<\/p>\n
