e.thePeople (ETP) is looking for someone enthusiastic about using tech for civic\u00a0good. Working from home, we need a tech savvy, patient, and friendly person to\u00a0provide support to organizations using our voter guide software. ETP\u2019s voter\u00a0guide software is used by civic and news organizations across the country to\u00a0provide online voter guides within their communities. The organizations using our\u00a0software have varying degrees of technical capacity and sometimes require\u00a0assistance to take advantage of all the software\u2019s built in features. Job\u00a0responsibilities include responding to \u201chelpdesk\u201d emails from our clients who are\u00a0using our software. This can involve answering simple questions about how the\u00a0software works to troubleshooting more complex problems. Most responses are\u00a0provided via email but occasionally phone or via GoToMeeting support is\u00a0required. Job can be performed from home as long as the individual has a\u00a0reliable computer and Internet connection. Schedule is 12 – 20 hours a week\u00a0through November 4, 2014. Salary is $15 per hour. Shifts available during\u00a0weekdays late afternoon\/early evenings and daytime on weekends.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Experience using complex software programs, adept at learning new software,\u00a0excellent puzzle solving skills, good written and oral communication skills,\u00a0analytical mind, and an interest in tech for civic good. Tutoring and\/or customer\u00a0service experience a plus.<\/p>\n
