FAS Department of Music at NYU – Part-Time Tech Assistant<\/b><\/p>\n
The Department of Music is seeking a talented Graduate Technology Assistant to provide technical support to faculty and staff.\u00a0 This individual will be responsible for the setup and monitoring of audio\/visual (A\/V) equipment used in the state-of-the-art teaching facilities to ensure that technology is configured and functioning properly in anticipation of classes. S\/He will provide leadership for best practices in working with digital equipment and will support the department\u2019s efforts to digitize audio material.\u00a0 The ideal candidate will have an interest in developing professional expertise in sound engineering, ethnomusicology, and\/or other related fields.\u00a0Position can be for either work-study or non work-study student employee. Compensation based on level of experience ($15-20\/hr).\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We will definitely consider hiring someone who can only work for Fall 2014, although we are looking to fill the position for the entire 2014-15 academic year.<\/b><\/p>\n

* While a regular work schedule will be established, the first 2-3 weeks of the Fall and Spring semester will be “front-loaded” with more hours, as these are the times of year when tech assistance is needed the most, in order to prevent disruption of classes and other registration activities.<\/b><\/p>\n
