INTERNSHIPS AT THE LEAGUE: DIGITAL MEDIA<\/p>\n
The Architectural League is seeking an intern to work closely with the League\u2019s Digital Editorial Director\u00a0on a variety of tasks.<\/p>\n
DESCRIPTION OF EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Architectural League interns gain valuable experience in the day-to-day tasks of producing and\u00a0organizing online content for a small, active non-profit organization, as well as exposure to some of the\u00a0best work and ideas in contemporary architecture and urbanism. As integral team members in our office,\u00a0interns will not only provide necessary support for the daily operations of the League, but also have the\u00a0opportunity to attend meetings, reviews, and juries with leading members of the design community. \u00a0Interns are encouraged and may be required to attend League events and to write, illustrate, and\/or\u00a0develop pitches for archleague.org and\/or Urban Omnibus.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Populating archleague.org with information and media from the League\u2019s archive<\/p>\n
\u2022 Reviewing and updating existing digital media; migrating archive video to online video platforms<\/p>\n
\u2022 Working with Digital Editorial Director to optimize and implement content tagging strategy<\/p>\n
\u2022 Assisting with digitization of archive media, transcription, and layout as needed<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
Applicants must have excellent communication, organization, and writing skills, and an interest in design,\u00a0architecture, and urbanism. Interns are expected to be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and enthusiastic\u00a0about the League\u2019s mission and programs. Experience with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, and\u00a0audio\/video editing preferred.<\/p>\n
Dates are flexible, though we expect interns to work a minimum of 2-3 days per week, for a minimum of 8\u00a0weeks. Interns will receive a stipend and Metrocard. The League also supports internships for academic\u00a0credit.<\/p>\n
