Rowan Technologies Solutions LLC (RTS) is looking to hire a talented hire a creative and agile<\/p>\n
digital designer to join a team building innovative digital learning products. The selected candidate<\/p>\n
will be responsible for creating learning experiences that not only capture and maintains the<\/p>\n
learner\u2019s interest, but one that also enhances efficient learning. By creating a dynamic and compelling<\/p>\n
experience through the integration of several mediums (specifically maps, images, video, chapter<\/p>\n
text, and audio cuts), the digital designer will capture the customer\u2019s general and specific educational<\/p>\n
ideas concerning the teaching of military history and tactics.<\/p>\n
The selected candidate will join an interdisciplinary team that integrates maps, written chapter<\/p>\n
text, graphic images and video into an interactive learning experience. The graphic designer will<\/p>\n
work directly with the interdisciplinary team\u2019s cartographer as well as the customer to define the<\/p>\n
requirements, and to provide advice on processes and procedures for optimal visual presentation and<\/p>\n
user experience. Digital designers are expected to provide the creative input for the final product,<\/p>\n
including all user interface requirements.<\/p>\n
The developer will work with a variety of software tools and environments to support the<\/p>\n
development of spatial and non-spatial applications for desktop, web, and mobile environments.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements include a BA, BS in graphic design, communications, or similar discipline.<\/p>\n
A portfolio of three or more digital product designs will be requested from applicants considered for<\/p>\n
this position.<\/p>\n
The candidate should have extensive knowledge, experience and proficiency in industry standard<\/p>\n
software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.) The candidate should also have<\/p>\n
a strong experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Additionally, experience working with<\/p>\n
iBooks Author, Keynote, Unity, E-Pub 3, and 3d modeling programs (3ds Max, Blender, Rhinoceros) is<\/p>\n
highly desirable.<\/p>\n
Competitive candidates must have extensive knowledge of and demonstrated experience in graphic<\/p>\n
design principles; composition, color, type, and graphics. An experience in traditional book design<\/p>\n
and publication would be especially useful as well.<\/p>\n
Salary: A highly competitive compensation package based on experience and demonstrated<\/p>\n
capability. The position could be either full time or part time, depending on the candidate.<\/p>\n
