goTenna is a Williamsburg, Brooklyn \u00adbased startup building products that enable completely decentralized<\/div>\n
communication. We’re starting with an eponymous device that, paired with your smartphone, lets you<\/div>\n
communicate with friends even when you have no cell or data service. goTenna aims to become a part of<\/div>\n
everyone\u2019s technology essentials, reducing our reliance on cell towers and wi\u00adfi routers, and providing users the<\/div>\n

About the role:<\/div>\n
We\u2019ve just launched our company and first product, so this is an amazing opportunity for someone to get in on the<\/div>\n
ground floor. Our timeline is fast (and fun), and that should suit you.<\/div>\n
We are seeking a wireless systems architect with strong experience in RF and networking. The ideal candidate<\/div>\n
should have a track record in designing innovative solutions to unique wireless networking problems, particularly<\/div>\n
ad\u00adhoc networks. The ability to code for and work with MATLAB is required.<\/div>\n
The person in this role would work alongside our hardware and firmware engineers to implement a scalable<\/div>\n
wireless systems architecture for goTenna at the firmware level across a variety of products and devices.<\/div>\n
Requirements & desired skills:<\/div>\n
\u25cf Masters or higher in electrical engineering, with a focus in networking\/communications<\/div>\n
\u25cf 5+ years of experience solving and implementing networking solutions desired<\/div>\n
\u25cf Experience in hardware desirable<\/div>\n
\u25cf Experience with embedded system engineering strongly desired<\/div>\n
This is a full\u00adtime position based in Brooklyn, reporting to the CTO. Compensation package includes: annual<\/div>\n
salary, equity, benefits (100% of premiums covered), a $2,000 technology stipend, and a month of holidays and<\/div>\n
PTO each year.<\/div>\n
