Installed in Chico MacMurtrie\u2019s \/ ARW\u2019s<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>studio, a former Norwegian Seaman\u2019s Church in Red Hook, Brooklyn, these robotic<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>sculptures are capable of performing, individually or as a group, a defined range of<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>sounds and movements at the onset of communication through rhythm.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Robotic Church opened to the public for the first time in September 2013 for a 3<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>month performance series which was featured in the New York Times, Artinfo, Creator&#8217;s<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Project, Hyperallergic and more recently on WNYC \/ The Green Space.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We are currently preparing for a 2nd performance series in the fall and are looking for<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>several interns to help us with different aspects of the Robotic Church.
