WORDPRESS DEVELOPER POSITION (STUDENT)<\/p>\n
Job Purpose Summary: To assist with back\u2010end development of a custom social learning platform built on<\/p>\n
WordPress.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Collaborate with programming team to create backend code for a WordPress site and custom application currently<\/p>\n
in limited beta rollout<\/p>\n
\u2022 Develop custom themes<\/p>\n

Required Skills\/Knowledge:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience with custom theme development for WordPress<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience building WordPress plugins and templates<\/p>\n
\u2022 Working knowledge of HTML \/ CSS<\/p>\n
\u2022 JavaScript knowledge, including JQuery<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience with collaborative coding<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience with version control (ex. Git, SVN)<\/p>\n
\u2022 Familiarity with MySQL or other relational database<\/p>\n
\u2022 Must be a self\u2010starter and be able to work both collaboratively and independently<\/p>\n
\u2022 Familiarity working with deadlines<\/p>\n
Preferred Skills\/Knowledge:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Some knowledge integrating Google tools preferred<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience writing unit testing (ex. PHPUnit), and\/or web acceptance testing (ex. Selenium) highly desirable<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience building responsive and mobile experiences a plus<\/p>\n
\u2022 Hands\u2010on experience with agile development practices desirable<\/p>\n
