The Developer Intern has a real passion for software development.<\/p>\n
Well\u00adqualified candidates are excited by contributing to open source projects, by\u00a0participating in technical communities or interest groups, or by writing or\u00a0speaking in public about their technical ideas. A Developer Intern at McKinsey\u00a0will be an active learner and will enjoy tinkering with new open source libraries,\u00a0using unfamiliar technologies and learning new programming languages in their\u00a0spare time.<\/p>\n

Exercise 1: Write a program that validates whether all of the braces, brackets,\u00a0and parentheses are closed and properly nested.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
Technical skills and experience<\/p>\n
\u2022 Strong experience using at least one high level programming language (e.g. \u00a0Java, Ruby, Python, C#)<\/p>\n
\u2022 Knowledge of current web technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and\u00a0databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience in any of the following is a plus: code refactoring, design patterns,\u00a0design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable\u00a0applications, application security<\/p>\n
\u2022 Knowledge of the agile software development process is a plus\u00a0Non\u00adtechnical competencies<\/p>\n
\u2022 Strong analytical and problem solving skills paired with the ability to develop\u00a0creative and efficient solutions<\/p>\n
\u2022 Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills<\/p>\n
