{"id":16291,"date":"2014-12-10T10:27:42","date_gmt":"2014-12-10T15:27:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/?p=16291"},"modified":"2014-12-10T10:27:42","modified_gmt":"2014-12-10T15:27:42","slug":"call-art-technology-lab-2015-call-for-artist-proposals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/2014\/12\/10\/call-art-technology-lab-2015-call-for-artist-proposals\/","title":{"rendered":"[CALL] Art + Technology Lab 2015 Call for Artist Proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Art + Technology Lab at LACMA is pleased to issue its second<br \/>\nyear request for proposals.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The application and guidelines for funding\u00a0can be found\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lacma.us7.list-manage1.com\/track\/click?u=33a7932d711750e006be92b6e&amp;id=2c1108dfa4&amp;e=33ab774772\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The required structure of submissions includes a short description of the proposed project, an implementation<br \/>\ntimeline and budget, and a short narrative describing the relevance of the project and any opportunities for<br \/>\npublic engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants should thoroughly read the new RFP. Changes have been made from last year&#8217;s call, and they include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We have revised and refined our areas of interest to reflect a preference for ideas over specific technologies<br \/>\nand to indicate that we are open to working with artists who have no prior technological experience.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants will also note the refined language in our evaluation criteria.<\/li>\n<li>The submission deadline is extended to\u00a011:59 pm, on\u00a0Monday, February 16, 2015, allowing applicants up to<br \/>\nnine\u00a0weeks to\u00a0prepare their proposal.<\/li>\n<li>We have amended the submission process with an application portal where applicants are required to<br \/>\ncomplete a form and attach their proposal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Lab\u2019s first-year artist projects are now well into development, and may serve as a useful reference for those<br \/>\ninterested in applying for a grant.
