Smith, winner of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry; Director:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/joshuafrankel.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Joshua Frankel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>History:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first animation studies for the opera premiered at the BAM NextWave Festival in 2013 (<a href=\"http:\/\/mosesjacobsopera.tumblr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">image<\/a>). This project has also been supported by Sundance\u2019s New Frontier Program. Previously, this creative team collaborated on the short film\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mosesjacobsopera.com\/PlanOfTheCity.html\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Plan Of The City<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Animation Prod<\/strong><strong>uction:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh will be leading a small animation team, working out of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.3ldnyc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">3LD<\/a><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0the technology\/experience design studio that will be creating our scenic projection technology, based in lower Manhattan. Interns and junior animators from previous projects with Josh have gone on to freelance and staff positions at studios including The Mill and Framestore.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Timeline:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our team will begin work January 5 and deliver the first batch of animation in early March. There will be opportunities for work to continue through May and beyond. Interest in extending beyond March is a plus but is\u00a0<strong><em>not\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Knowledge of one or more of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>modeling\/animation in maya<\/li>\n<li>nuke<\/li>\n<li>after effects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Strong visual and aesthetic design instincts\/sensibilities<\/p>\n<p>Strong work ethic and attention to detail<\/p>\n<p>Passion for learning<\/p>\n<p>Positive attitude and ability to take direction<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Compensation<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Pay is a weekly stipend, commensurate with experience.
