Projects include creating systems to\u00a0manage and deliver collection\u00a0information to the next generation of mobile, responsive, and touch capable\u00a0platforms and in-gallery technologies, as well as establishing interoperability\u00a0with related content, collection, and digital asset management\u00a0systems.<\/p>\n<p>The Software Developer will work on a\u00a0number of wide-ranging and evolving initiatives to support the way collection-related\u00a0information is stored, integrated and published; work with staff for\u00a0requirements analysis, problem definition and\u00a0solutions development; apply\u00a0standards and best-practice solutions for maintaining and developing the\u00a0software that supports\u00a0the Museum\u2019s information architecture.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will be well\u00a0versed in a range of programming languages, familiar with information\u00a0standards, and able\u00a0to learn and implement new technologies. Additionally, the\u00a0candidate should be a self-motivated team player, with strong\u00a0analytical and\u00a0organizational skills. This position offers candidates opportunities to work\u00a0with projects of unparalleled\u00a0content within a museum environment, excellence,\u00a0innovation, and visibility with an award-winning team.<\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implementation of solutions to\u00a0support content editing and workflows for mobile applications and in-gallery\u00a0technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain, refine, and refactor, and\u00a0migrate existing information management software, which includes: C# web\u00a0services,\u00a0SQL queries to existing databases, Drupal, XML databases, and ad-hoc\u00a0data delivery systems.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and advance data models and\u00a0information processes.<\/li>\n<li>Work with technical staff to build\u00a0mechanisms and APIs for exchanging data and metadata between repositories.<\/li>\n<li>Provide data analysis for internal\u00a0projects.<\/li>\n<li>Ad-hoc report generation, data\u00a0transformation, and delivery systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Desired Skills and Experience<br \/>\n<\/b><br \/>\nInterested candidates must have at\u00a0least 2-years experience and possess the following characteristics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with XML-based\u00a0information technologies required.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with a broad range of\u00a0programming languages and standards, with an aptitude for learning new\u00a0technologies as required.
