We are actively seeking a UX Visual Designer to assist in our efforts to create world class products for<\/p>\n
the JP Morgan Markets Platform and it\u2019s various digital properties. J.P. Morgan Markets (JPMM) is the<\/p>\n
firm\u2019s flagship client facing platform that provides seamless access to critical functionality across the<\/p>\n
trade lifecycle; from research, analytics and structuring to trading and post-trade functionality, across<\/p>\n
markets globally.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will join the entrepreneurial team within JP Morgan\u2019s Corporate Investment<\/p>\n
Bank (CIB) that provides Product Management capabilities to the firm\u2019s client-facing platform, JP<\/p>\n
Morgan Markets (JPMM). In this capacity, the Product team serves as a critical conduit between the<\/p>\n
business and technology, and includes the talented and growing team of User Experience practitioners<\/p>\n
who craft the design of business-critical systems.<\/p>\n
Role description:<\/p>\n
This UX Visual Designer role is an integral part of the UX team which designs next-generation, bespoke,<\/p>\n
multi-channel applications for the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB), and will have a specific focus on<\/p>\n
tools for sales teams across the CIB. These tools encompass functionality that supports sales\/CRM,<\/p>\n
pricing, trading, and order management.\u00a0It\u2019s an exciting opportunity to design applications that are<\/p>\n
informationally rich, highly specialized, and built with the latest web, mobile, and desktop front end<\/p>\n
technologies.<\/p>\n
The ideal candidate:<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Above all, is excited and motivated to create next-generation user interfaces applying expertise<\/p>\n
within the fields of Information Design, Interaction Design, and Data Visualization to develop<\/p>\n
compelling yet problem-solving designs for various financial applications<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Is a trained visual designer who balances expertise in \u2018craft\u2019 with an academic interest in best<\/p>\n
practices of Information Design and Interaction Design<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Can skillfully represent the visual design discipline within a multi-disciplinary product team and<\/p>\n
when presenting to stakeholders, sponsors, and critics<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Has some banking experience but more critically, has a record of successful deliveries for data-<\/p>\n
heavy, custom-designed, application user interfaces<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Is curious and resourceful and with that, able to learn and operate within the complex business<\/p>\n
domains\u00a0of the company<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Has strong communication skills and enjoys working collaboratively<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Leverages his\/her design skills, and awareness of the user and business goals, to imagine,<\/p>\n
illustrate, and help realize a compelling functional interface<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Is comfortable employing his\/her skills across all stages of the design and development process<\/p>\n
including conception, design, standardization, specification, and enforcement<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Is detail oriented and always concerned about the overall finished effect<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Create and evolve the visual design language for the product; responsible for designing,<\/p>\n
standardizing, documenting, and enforcing the visual design elements of a product while<\/p>\n
maintaining awareness of related product and corporate design standards<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Work closely with a cross disciplinary product team to help translate business challenges and<\/p>\n
requirements into compelling UI\u2019s that demonstrate the power and value of the rich application<\/p>\n
design<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Take an active role in the ideation of products and features<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Take an active role, post design, in the development effort (visual QA)<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Create high-fidelity, detailed visual design specifications (red-lines) and assets for the proposed<\/p>\n
designs (typically using Photoshop)<\/p>\n
Preferred\u00a0Work Experience:<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Minimum 2 years experience working in a professional capacity as a visual designer on highly<\/p>\n
interactive and data rich applications<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Has art directed, or had significant influence in defining the visual design language for an<\/p>\n
interaction-complex product, application, or site<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Has created robust and exacting visual design specifications<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Experience designing for one or more of the following technologies: HTML5\/CSS, Flex, Flash,<\/p>\n
WPF or similar front end technology<\/p>\n
*** All candidates are expected to provide a strong portfolio of work emphasizing his\/her depth of<\/p>\n
experience with Information Design and Interaction Design.<\/p>\n
Educational Experience<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Bachelor’s Degree in design with emphasis in one or more of the following: Information Design,<\/p>\n
Communication Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design<\/p>\n
