It is for a period of two months with an opportunity for an extension, depending on the needs of the unit and availability of the candidate. The internship is unpaid and full-time. Interns work five days a week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned. \u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">\u00a0Responsibilities \u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">\u00a0The intern will assist one of the United Nations peacekeeping information management programmes. Examples of duties to be performed include the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">\uf0a7 Developing video and interactive training support materials including research of relevant tools and video production methodologies for remote delivery in low-bandwidth environments;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">\uf0a7 Posting web content and support website content management;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">\uf0a7 Support the maintenance of content databases and electronic resources;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">\uf0a7 Creating metadata for digital collections; (b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor\u2019s level or equivalent); or (c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one year period of graduation;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">\u2022 Be computer literate in standard software applications;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">\u2022 Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter;
