We are looking for an engineer who not\u00a0only writes readable, efficient code, but can focus on optimizing our HTML markup and CSS for\u00a0mobile and desktop platforms to provide the optimal reading experience. You will work intimately with our Product and Design teams to craft experiences of which we can be proud.<\/p>\n

You\u2026<\/p>\n

– Have 5+ years experience creating pixel-perfect, performant HTML5\/CSS\/JS\u00a0interfaces<\/p>\n

– Have strong semantic markup skills, with a belief in minimizing DOM nodes while maximizing awesomeness<\/p>\n

– Have a deep understanding of DOM\/CSS rendering performance, painting, and compositing across platforms, including techniques for profiling performance<\/p>\n

– Have experience developing with SASS\u00a0(bonus points for telling us why it\u2019s better than LESS)<\/p>\n

– Have strong git fu<\/p>\n

– Have experience creating mobile web interfaces, and can talk confidently about the idiosyncrasies of\u00a0various mobile browsers<\/p>\n

– Can talk our ear off about why you prefer the built-in dev tools in Chrome\/Safari\/Firefox<\/p>\n

– Have familiarity with client-side MVC frameworks like AngularJS, Ember, or Backbone a plus<\/p>\n

– Have an understanding of SEO best practices \u00a0(bonus\u00a0points if You can get us to the top of DuckDuckGo results.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
