For this reason, we develop a rigorous internship program each summer. Our highly competitive, 10-week program provides interns with the chance to gain the best hands-on experience in virtually every area of a fast paced digital creative agency. We treat our interns like staff, and if you\u2019ve got the chops, you\u2019ll be given opportunities far beyond your typical internship program.<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/barbariangroup.tumblr.com\/tagged\/barbarianinterns\">blog series<\/a>\u00a0our Summer 2014 Interns created, as well as a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/2013interns.barbariangroup.com\/work.html\">website project<\/a>\u00a0from our 2013 class. You can also search #barbarianinterns for more insight into our awesome summer programs of the past.<\/p>\n<p>This year our program will run from Monday, June 8th through Friday, August 14th.<\/p>\n<p>We will be offering internships in the following departments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>ANALYTICS<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CREATIVE &#8211; ART<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CREATIVE &#8211; COPY<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>FINANCE<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>MEDIA &amp; DISTRIBUTION [SOCIAL MEDIA]<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>PUBLIC RELATIONS<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>STRATEGY<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>TECHNOLOGY<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>UX<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1>INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the application form, including the selection of which role you are applying for. You may only choose one.<\/li>\n<li>Deadline to apply for Summer 2015 Internships: Friday, April 3, 2015.<\/li>\n<li>In addition to the application questions, please\u00a0complete the\u00a0one (1)\u00a0assignment\u00a0below\u00a0that is specific to the role you are applying for.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<p><strong>ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please answer the following questions:\n<ul>\n<li>In three short phrases or words &#8211; why do you want to intern at the Barbarian Group? If given the opportunity, what would be the one thing you would personally try to focus on, or create?<\/li>\n<li>How is digital media evolving the marketing landscape? Is it for the better or the worse? What exactly does the evolution mean for creativity?<\/li>\n<li>Provide an example of a company who is successfully using new media to create a meaningful connection with their target audience? Who is the company, what was the media platform, who is the target, why was it successful?<\/li>\n<li>You get out of a creative presentation and your client is really unhappy with the work. You feel it was a great presentation with a creative platform that successfully met their business objectives. The campaign includes social media roll-out with funny videos starring a\u00a0celebrity spokesperson.<br \/>\nPlease craft a brief pitch and create a list of 2-3 publications that you would contact,<br \/>\nexplaining the rationale behind your selections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STRATEGY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is more important for a successful career in planning &#8211; being interesting or being right?<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>TECHNOLOGY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please include your portfolio as well as a sample of code that you&#8217;ve written [as links or attachments].<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UX<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please audit the user experience of a mobile app you use frequently or find particularly interesting.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What user needs does this app address? If this is a branded app, what is the business value?<\/li>\n<li>What does this app do well? What features or interaction design elements stand out?<\/li>\n<li>How could this app be improved?
