Magnum Foundation is seeking at Photography, Expanded Program Consultant.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Photography, Expanded is a Magnum Foundation initiative inspiring documentary\u00a0photographers to expand their storytelling beyond the still image. Through intensive\u00a0workshops and panel discussions, photographers have been learning about emerging\u00a0digital tools and methods in order to engage audiences across platforms and mobilize\u00a0communities around social justice issues.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Magnum Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides photographers working\u00a0in the public interest with the support they need to produce meaningful, high-impact\u00a0visual storytelling projects across issues, borders and disciplines.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Photography, Expanded Program Consultant will work with MF team to develop\u00a0programming beginning this spring through December of 2015, with potential to extend\u00a0work with Magnum Foundation upon review in December.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
2015 programming will include:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 a series of meet-ups meant to facilitate inter-disciplinary dialogue;<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 panel discussions on themes related to emerging media and social impact;<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 hands-on laboratories for photographers and media-makers to develop\u00a0multiplatform projects;<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 a full day symposium, audience of 400 people, that brings together media-makers to explore innovation in documentary storytelling and emerging ideas in\u00a0digital media and journalism;<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 a fellowship program that provides support and mentorship for select\u00a0photographers to develop multiplatform projects.<\/div>\n

The Photography, Expanded Program Consultant will report to Magnum Foundation\u2019s\u00a0Director of Programs and work in collaboration with the Photography, Expanded\u00a0Assistant and the Magnum Foundation team.<\/div>\n

This is a part-time position. Compensation will be negotiable according to experience.<\/div>\n

\u2022 function as thought-partner working in collaboration with MF Program Director<\/div>\n

\u2022 play lead role in mapping out annual program objectives<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 identify emerging trends in the field relevant to the initiative\u2019s programming<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 develop event themes and structures<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 leverage professional networks to target and cultivate presenters, partners, and<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 identify and cultivate new \/ expanded programmatic opportunities<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 facilitate \/ moderate event presentations and discussions<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 contribute to call for proposals and public event PR copy<\/div>\n
