Gensler\u2019s Brand Design studio is a collaborative team of designers, strategists, and<\/div>\n

sizes\u2014from product packaging and websites to campus signage systems, interactive<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Within the Brand Design Studio, the Digital Media Design practice creates memorable,<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
engaging and functional interactive experiences that enhance the meaning and value of<\/div>\n

a brand\u2019s connection with people. Whether our work is mobile, on a website or<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
integrated into a space, we create digital content and interactive touchpoints that tell a<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
brand’s story and allow its audience to participate with the brand for a deeper level of<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
engagement.<\/div>\n

The Role<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Experiential Software Developer will work closely with the Creative Technology<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Director and the broader team to conceive, prototype and deliver interactive<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
experiences across a variety of hardware and software platforms and devices.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Expert skill with front-end web development is a must, as is an evident passion for<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
creating groundbreaking interactive experiences that leverage emerging technologies \u2013<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
from wearable devices to beacons, from large interactive displays to behavior-tracking<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
sensors and beyond.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Successful candidates will be highly skilled and have:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 3+ years professional work experience<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 Demonstrable knowledge and experience with software development, including<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
ability to<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 derive and code algorithms<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 implement rock-solid and browser-sensitive responsive web designs<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 create and interact with databases<\/div>\n

\uf0b7 integrate disparate components into robust systems<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 Evident enthusiasm for creating groundbreaking interactive spatial experiences<\/div>\n

\uf0b7 Demonstrable expertise building websites on common content management<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
systems such as WordPress, Drupal, et al<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 Strong design sense and attention to detail<\/div>\n

\uf0b7 Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, analytical and decision making skills<\/div>\n

Responsibilities<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 Maintain current expertise with front-end web standards such as HTML5, CSS3,<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
JavaScript and its essential frameworks, as well as best practices for coding<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
responsive websites that render beautifully and function intuitively across browsers<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
and devices<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 Maintain current expertise with important APIs for social networks, storage and data<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
services, and other web\/cloud-based services<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 Own and drive definition of functional and technical requirements, creating clear and<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
concise documentation as needed \u2013 including user flows, interaction designs,<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
annotated wireframes and prototypes, and functional\/technical specs<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 Champion user needs when defining functional and interactive requirements,<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
working closely with Experience Strategists and the broader team<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\uf0b7 Collaborate with the Design Team to support the creation of elegant mockups for<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
interactive experiences, providing technical guidance to ensure consistency of end<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
result with design intent<\/div>\n

\uf0b7 Work closely with cross-functional teams to efficiently implement reliable front-end<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
web code that is consistent with visual mockups and fulfills all defined requirements<\/div>\n
