Position Description<\/p>\n
We are seeking a User Interface Engineer to help design, develop and
\nsupport large multiple enterprise-level applications. The successful
\ncandidate must be able to work under tight deadlines and work in close
\ncollaboration with others, manage individual workload efficiently and
\neffectively, and must have excellent communication skills.
\nResponsibilities will include:<\/p>\n
* Work with development team and designers to implement web interfaces
\n * Translate wireframes into semantic markup
\n * Support UI enhancements for existing applications
\n * Develop UI solutions for new applications
\n * Optimize pages for smaller file size
\n * Implement web standards
\n * Help resolve daily cross-browser incompatibility issues and
\nother interface bugs<\/p>\n
Expected Background<\/p>\n
* BA\/BFA in Design, BS in Computer Science or related area or
\nrelevant work experience
\n * Minimum of 2 years experience in web development and
\npresentation layer design and coding within a cross disciplinary
\nenvironment
\n * Demonstrated implementation of a UI toolkit (YUI [preferred],
\nDojo, JQuery, etc.)
\n * Must be able to hand-code XHTML, CSS2 and Javascript
\n * In-Depth knowledge of Web Standards and trends (508 compliance,
\nprogressive enhancement, SEO)
\n * In-Depth knowledge of the browser box model and cross-browser
\nincompatibilities
\n * In-Depth knowledge of the document object model
\n * Working knowledge of object oriented JavaScript
\n * Experience with Adobe Photoshop, ASP.NET , C# or Flash a plus
\n * Knowledge of the full development life cycle from requirements to launch
\n * Experience in Agile methods such as Scrum and XP is a plus<\/p>\n
