While the studio has a<br \/>\nreputation for progressive thinking and does great work in product,<br \/>\ninteraction, and aviation design, we seek to work with an artist\/<br \/>\ndesigner to bring the point-of-view and methodologies of design as<br \/>\nresearch to the studio. We look for input and inspiration to further<br \/>\nour inquiries of design in a technological and networked future, and<br \/>\nreflect on our roles not just as problem solvers, but as meaning<br \/>\nmakers. The Interaction Design group will take the lead in working<br \/>\nwith the artist, but the position will work with the entire studio<br \/>\nand have access to its minds, tools, and resources.<\/p>\n<p>Areas of focus may include but are not limited to physical<br \/>\nprototyping, calm computing and tangible UI, and social agendas and<br \/>\neffects of technology. We are less interested in technology as a<br \/>\nmedium or tool for more traditional artistic concerns such as<br \/>\nperception. The visiting artist must be able to write their own<br \/>\nproposals, with the attendant ability to make complex issues<br \/>\ntangible.
