Our big push this week is sourcing for our Data &amp; Analytics<br \/>\nteam! We&#8217;re hiring associates (junior &amp; senior), data science associates,<br \/>\nand two leadership roles &#8211; a digital analytics team lead, and a Deputy<br \/>\nDirector for the department.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re especially excited to find the digital analytics lead sooner rather<br \/>\nthan later.<\/p>\n<p>This department supports all major decision-making on the campaign &#8211; which<br \/>\nvoters to target for Persuasion &amp; Get Out The Vote efforts, what communications<br \/>\nmessages should be used where, how best to spend advertising $, how best to<br \/>\nfundraise, etc &#8211; all of the most critical functions. The data &amp; analytics<br \/>\nteam is like the nerve center for the campaign understanding how to compete<br \/>\nas effectively as possible. It&#8217;s sort of like an internal consultancy,<br \/>\nwhich serves the other departments to help them make the right calls. It&#8217;s<br \/>\nalso run by a fantastic Director who lead analytics for the battleground<br \/>\nstates for Obama in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Folks for all of these data &amp; analytics roles will have things in common:<br \/>\n&#8211; Very quant minds &amp; work experience.<br \/>\n&#8211; Strong familiarity with analytics\/statistical software &amp; tools, e.g. R<br \/>\nSTATA SPSS SQL GIS Python Hadoop Go, Weka, Apache Spark, etc.<br \/>\n&#8211; Experience working with large data sets &amp; incomplete data sets.<br \/>\n&#8211; Ability to work smart &amp; hard &#8211; long hours, a true love of the analytics<br \/>\nand figuring out what is going on in the data, even after a long day.<br \/>\n&#8211; Good client management skills &amp; a customer service attitude, as they are<br \/>\nproviding support to other teams.<br \/>\n&#8211; A passion for using numbers to figure out how to elect Hillary Clinton as<br \/>\nour next President.<\/p>\n<p>We are excited people from various backgrounds &#8211; startups, corporate,<br \/>\nagency &#8211; and for the data science set, academics &#8211; PhDs, etc.For the data<br \/>\nscience roles, folks with experience with any of these: predictive<br \/>\nanalytics and modeling, survey methodology, causal inference, experimental<br \/>\ndesign and analysis, independent research, text analysis\/natural language<br \/>\nprocessing or regression analysis, machine learning.<\/p>\n<p>As with the other technical teams, we are working hard to bring in diverse<br \/>\ncandidates &amp; women for consideration, as team balance it very important to<br \/>\nus. So keep that in mind as you&#8217;re thinking about who might be perfect for<br \/>\nthese.<\/p>\n<p>All of these roles are based in Brooklyn.
