Our first version of the product has proved consumer and merchant adoption, and now we need to build a customized solution to scale to larger retail clients. We’re looking for someone that loves figuring out how to elegantly connect devices, and do so in a way that hasn’t been done before.

Coinout has been bootstrapped up to this point, providing a unique opportunity for someone to get in at the ground level with the potential for being Co-Founder / CTO / etc. The position will be paid with details negotiable based on the individual. We’re looking for someone ASAP, although we can be flexible on start date depending on the individual.

More about the company:

Coinout is tackling in-store transactions with the goal of revolutionizing the way consumers use and merchants accept cash payments. Despite the rise of mobile payments in recent years, cash continues to represent the lion share of global transactions, to the tune of 85%. However, there’s been no real effort to connect a cash transaction with our mobile dependencies.

As such, our product allows consumers that pay with cash to receive their change as a digital credit rather than in loose denominations. This optimizes these transactions for both merchants and consumers, while also providing significant value to merchants that are now closely focused on loyalty and customer retention.

Our team is small: the founder has a JD and MBA, in addition to a background in mobile payments, financial technology and technology marketing. The development of our first product was done by a former developer at Pivotal Labs, who is still intimately involved with the company. We’re very lean and learning closely from our customers every day. We’re also based in Soho, NY and eagerly searching for more people to join our team that are passionate about building innovative technology products to solve widespread problems.

If you’re interested or have any specific questions, please contact Jeff Witten at jeff@coinout.com.

Exciting project/position for a pre-seed NY based FinTech startup with great traction.
