Members of the Ars Electronica Futurelab represent a broad<br \/>\nvariety of different disciplines and nationalities, working in such areas<br \/>\nas computer vision, sound analysis, mobile computing, generative<br \/>\ngraphics, computer controls, and computer networks.<\/p>\n<p>Ars Electronica is embedded in the activities for Linz, Austria. As the<br \/>\nEuropean Capital of Culture in 2009, a continuously growing, vital<br \/>\ncultural environment is guaranteed both in the city and as the working<br \/>\nenvironment at the lab.<\/p>\n<p>Ars Electronica Futurelab is hiring 12 to 20 new members to be part of<br \/>\nthe creation team of the new exhibits at the Ars Electronica Center as<br \/>\nwell as other projects. We are seeking both junior and senior level team<br \/>\nmembers. Partially academic, partially production oriented, experts share<br \/>\ntheir knowledge in workshops we call =93LabAcademies,=94 thus we are seekin=<br \/>\ng<br \/>\nboth experienced teachers and avid students.<\/p>\n<p>Interested persons should prepare to stay for a period of at least 12<br \/>\nmonths in Linz Austria. There is a possibility for some positions to stay<br \/>\neven longer or become permanent. The languages spoken in the Lab are<br \/>\nEnglish or German.<\/p>\n<p>Ars Electronica will assist foreigners to obtain work permits for<br \/>\nAustria. Contracts may be either for employment (=93freier Dienstvertrag=94=<br \/>\n,<br \/>\nincludes insurance packages) or as contractors (=93Werkvertrag=94). Annual<br \/>\nwages vary according to experience but will generally be 23,000-30,000 =80<br \/>\n($36,000-$50,000).
