{"id":16862,"date":"2015-06-05T10:14:43","date_gmt":"2015-06-05T14:14:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/?p=16862"},"modified":"2015-06-05T10:14:43","modified_gmt":"2015-06-05T14:14:43","slug":"call-nih-issues-300000-wearable-alcohol-biosensor-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/2015\/06\/05\/call-nih-issues-300000-wearable-alcohol-biosensor-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"[CALL] NIH Issues $300,000 Wearable Alcohol Biosensor Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I wanted to let you know that The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), part of the National Institutes of Health, is issuing a\u00a0<b>$300,000 challenge to create a wearable alcohol biosensor<\/b>.<b>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0The winner of this challenge will design a\u00a0<b>discreet wearable prototype that provides real-time blood alcohol monitoring.<\/b>\u00a0NIAAA would like to offer the opportunity to help promote this challenge to NYU students.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Biosensors can be jewelry or clothing, but NIAAA welcomes and encourages\u00a0<b>out-of-the box creativity<\/b>.
