We are looking for a Creative\u00a0Tinkerer to work as part of a large cross-disciplinary team supporting the\u00a0development of innovative technical designs for public places. The Tinkerer\u00a0will be based out of the ESI Lab and will be responsible for building\u00a0small and\u00a0large scale proof-of-concepts and mockups, researching emerging technologies\u00a0and keeping our internal technical resources updated.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:
\n* Building and
\nrunning proof-of-concepts, mockups and play-testing in our LAB space\u00a0and\u00a0off-site<\/p>\n
* Prototyping and\u00a0testing of new technologies, applications and systems<\/p>\n
* Coordinating with consultants\u00a0and technology producers to organize demos<\/p>\n
* Updating the\u00a0internal ESI technology on-line resource<\/p>\n
* Work with\u00a0designers, engineers, and customers to create software solutions<\/p>\n
* Provide in-house design inspiration through\u00a0introduction of technology into our office environment and design\u00a0process<\/p>\n
* Maintaining and\u00a0organizing the ESI LAB space<\/p>\n
Qualifications:
\n* Knowledge of audio\u00a0visual control systems, hardware and software<\/p>\n
* Experience in\u00a0creating digital\/physical experiences<\/p>\n
* Highly organized\u00a0with the ability to efficiently use timemanage time well and work\u00a0efficiently without close supervision<\/p>\n
* Self-driven<\/p>\n
* Careful attention\u00a0to detail<\/p>\n
