The\u00a0Exhibitions department oversees more than 90 media pieces, both static and\u00a0interactive. This position works with a range of digital media including software\u00a0applications, mobile applications, and websites.<\/p>\n<p>The Exhibition Media Manager manages staff, including the Exhibition Media\u00a0Coordinator and a media developer. The Exhibition Media Manager works with\u00a0Museum staff and consultants, including the Museum\u2019s content development and\u00a0physical production teams in Exhibitions, Collections staff, Information\u00a0Technology, and media design and production consultants.<\/p>\n<p>This position may require some early morning or evening hours for media testing,\u00a0installation, and periodic reviews.<\/p>\n<p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Responsible for overall media design, production, and maintenance of 9\/11\u00a0Memorial Museum long-term, temporary, and traveling exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Develop strategic plan for new and updated exhibition media and\u00a0strategize on implementation.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Working with staff and consulting media designers, manage the design,\u00a0development, and production for new and revised media pieces; ensure\u00a0fidelity to design style guides; manage contractual relationships for\u00a0consultants.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Manage the internal and external processes surrounding the maintenance,\u00a0testing, and updating of custom content management systems and\u00a0software related to media installations.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Coordinate with the Director of Exhibitions to ensure media content is\u00a0appropriately licensed, reviewed, copy-edited, and fact-checked.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 For installation and maintenance, coordinate as appropriate with other\u00a0Memorial and Museum departments, including Information Technology and\u00a0Facilities, either directly or in coordination with the Exhibition Production\u00a0Manager.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Perform regular, quality-control reviews of onsite installations as part of a\u00a0review team.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Working with the Exhibition Media Coordinator, manage the ongoing\u00a0inspection, maintenance, and updating of installed media pieces; ensure\u00a0the ongoing review and maintenance of media content management\u00a0systems and software; ensure thorough archiving of media pieces and\u00a0related design documentation.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Under the direction of the VP for Exhibitions, and in collaboration with the\u00a0Director of Exhibitions and the Exhibition Production Manager, provide\u00a0input into overall Exhibition division calendar, staff assignments, and\u00a0resource allocation.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Assist with other exhibition planning and implementation tasks, as\u00a0requested, including the preparation of exhibit-related materials for other\u00a0Memorial and Museum divisions.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS\/SKILLS REQUIREMENT<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Undergraduate degree required.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Graduate degree in exhibition design, information design, journalism,\u00a0library science, museum studies, or related preferred.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Three or more years of related experience at a design firm, museum, or\u00a0non-profit required.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Excellent communication, research, and organizational skills required.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Overall understanding of exhibition media development from concept\u00a0development to installation.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Knowledge of various digital media exhibition systems, including passive,\u00a0active, and handheld systems.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Familiarity with a range of computer programs, including the Microsoft\u00a0Office suite, database and content management systems, basic and\u00a0HTML\/XML.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Experience working with web, mobile, and multimedia technologies,\u00a0including iOS and Android platforms.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects and deadlines\u00a0simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 General knowledge of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993 events.<\/p>\n<p>GENERAL INFORMATION<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 This is a full-time position.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 We offer a competitive salary and full benefits package.<\/p>\n<p>HOW TO APPLY<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Include job title in the email subject field.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Please indicate the location where job posting was seen.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Please submit a resume and cover letter, which must include your salary\u00a0requirements, to <strong>careers@911memorial.org<\/strong> by 7\/17\/15.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Please visit our web site at www.911Memorial.org.<\/p>\n<p>The National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center\u00a0Foundation, Inc. is committed to workforce diversity.
