We need talented people to join our Technology organization to help shape and deliver global enterprise solutions.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are now seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join our technology team based in New York.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Role<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">* Working with in house Designers to align designs\/wireframes with technical feasibility and sensitivity to system constraints<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Understands key web development concepts through experiences such as:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Interpreting graphic visual or interaction designs in HTML, CSS and Javascript.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Creating visually appealing web pages or interfaces.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Creating, editing or modifying templates for a CMS or web development framework.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Programming interaction with JavaScript and\/or a library such as jQuery<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Experience working in an agile development environment<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Experience in performing unit, Integration, and functional testing<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Experience with software configuration best practices (continuous integration, source control, etc.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Experience with Git workflow and branching strategies<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Ability to work efficiently in teams and\/or independently<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Ability to successfully work in a fast paced, changing environment<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the desire to work in a team environment across organization functional boundaries<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Domain specific knowledge or transferable skills<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Experience with web development languages:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 HTML<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 CSS<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 JavaScript (REACT Desirable)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 JQuery<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Ajax<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Experience with .Net and C# desirable.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Creative Agency experience desirable.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Contact: \u00a0alex.kozovski@macmillan.com Macmillan Higher Education is a confederation of these unique publishing houses: Bedford\/St. Martin&#8217;s, W.H.
