The Johns Hopkins University Digital Media Center (DMC) will be looking to =
\nfill two part time Multimedia Artist positions – one with an emphasis on vid=
\neo production and the other emphasizing graphics, animation, and web design.=

The DMC is a non-academic lab located on the Hopkins Homewood campus in the=
\n Mattin Arts Center. =A0In addition to supporting students in their use of m=

\nMultimedia Artist – Video Job Description:
\nInstruct students in video and multimedia technology through non-credit wor=
\nkshops and one-on-one mentoring. Set-up and maintain digital video equipment=
\n, organize special projects and events, participate in departmental multimed=
\nia collaborations. =A0This 20-hour per week "casual" position requ=
\nires some evening and weekend hours. The successful candidate will be encour=
\naged to interact with the Baltimore-Washington digital arts community and to=
\n share connections and collaborations with JHU students.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:
\n– MA, MFA, with emphasis in multimedia.
\n– Superior knowledge of digital video cameras, assorted lighting and audio-=
\nrecording equipment
\n– Superior knowledge of video work flow, editing, effects, and compression =
\ntechniques
\n– Familiarity with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Flash and other Adobe =
\nCreative Suite applications.
\n– Must be able to learn new technology independently
\n– Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n– Ability to teach 1-on-1 and in small groups
\nAdditional experience with circuit bending, interactivity, generative art, =
\nimmersive installation, and gaming is a plus.<\/p>\n
